One thing that I've learned in 8 years of marriage is that is
important essential, to reconnect. You have to work even harder to do that if you have children. The "business" of marriage takes such a toll. Taking care of finances, insurance, bills, etc. You can really get caught up in the small stuff. And that's all that I consider it to be - "the small stuff".
Which is why nights like these are my favorite. Don't get me wrong - It's so hard to find the time, to plan, find a babysitter - so much effort just to get away for a couple of hours. But in the end, it's worth it. Concentrating on what is important. Us.
