December Daily 2015

So happy to wrap up my December Daily album and call it complete for 2015!  As much as I love documenting December, as it gets closer to the new year, I am ready to pack up everything Christmas related!

You can see Part 1 of my Foundation Pages for this December Daily album, and Part 2 of my Foundation Pages, if you are interested in what my album looked liked before I filled it with pictures + stories.

I definitely changed things up a bit as the month went on, but I think that's what having foundation pages is about, being flexible to change.

The album cover was the very last detail that I completed.  I wasn't sure what I wanted to do, I just knew that I had to add something to break up all of the white space.

I ended up using copper acrylic paint and a Heidi Swapp silkscreen for the dots. This is the same color I used for the 'joy' silkscreen on the inside cover.  I painted a '25' wood veneer from Ali's 2014 kit with black ink and adhered it directly in the middle.

Love how simple this turned out.

Yep, this is a thick little book!

For each day in December, I simply adding a few lines of journaling, printed a picture and added it to my album.  As much as I would have liked to keep up, I did fall behind, but I found it so easy to catch up since all of my foundation pages were in place.

Here's a look at my album.

I used this hole puncher to add all of the Christmas cards we received this year to the back of my album.

I used this holiday bag from Starbucks as a pocket for all of my other keepsakes from December that either didn't fit a page protector or where a little too bulky.  The barista wrote my name directly on the bag, which I knew would be a nice touch to add to my album.

Whew! Always such a feeling of accomplishment when an album is complete.

How did you document your December this year?
