the hasselblad

Hasselblad 500 cm,  Portra 400 film.

These are photographs from my first roll of film with the newest member of my camera family - the hasselblad.  And yes, I think she will fit in quite nicely.

There is definitely a learning curve, but I love the results.  I think the mood and feeling of this day (and my kitchen table) are captured so honestly, so perfectly.

More soon.

you never know

Film. Kodak Ektar 100.

Something happened when my film was processed, and those two red lines appeared on every shot from this roll....

Just another lesson that with film, you never know.

You never know what you will get.

It's an element of surprise, really.  But sometimes you have to embrace things that are less than perfect.   Isn't that just what life is all about?

ranunculus love

Kodak Portra 400 NC

I have little self control when I see ranunculus at the market.  As you can see from the first image, my daughter loves them too!

I'm really sad that Kodak has discontinued this film - the colors are so beautiful.  It's almost as if I'm not shooting with a camera as old as I am!

I'm honored to be a special guest of Maegan's Creativity Boot Camp, Spring Training!
