just after a summer rain

I love those moments - just after a summer rain - when the air is cool and there is a slight break from the heat.

When the clouds are still gray, the house is still dark, and lamps come on in the middle of the afternoon.

Not quite light, and not quite dark.

Do you know those moments?

And even as much as I love the long summer days and bright sunlight that comes with them, I also enjoy the summer rain. The peace and renewal and the calm that it most certainly brings.
