Week In The Life 2018
Last week, I participated in Week In the Life, started by Ali Edwards. I have completed this project every year since 2013, and I love to look back at my albums at how much my "normal" has changed.
This year, I wanted to be an observer of my life. Instead of telling "all of the stories" I wanted to concentrate on telling one story for each day. I thought this would be appropriate since I have chosen to use a 3x8 album to document my week.
Here are my photos + words from last week.
MONDAY | After getting my girls up and dressed and off to school, I have my second cup of coffee while I water all of plants in our home. I absolutely love black and white stripes, bonus points for a midi dress.
TUESDAY | Overcast this morning and I didn’t feel the best, but there’s very little I let get in the way of my morning run. I never regret going. I always regret when I don’t. 3 miles this morning, while I made a mental list of everything I need to accomplish today. Food for my soul.
WEDNESDAY | My youngest daughter has an extra hour of school on Wednesday’s. I spend the majority of my day in my studio - emails, working on new designs, layouts, photography projects and prints.
THURSDAY | Sometimes it is so hard for me to say yes. When she wants to stop at our local Arboretum and visit the koi pond and Japanese tea house, I thought about everything else I had to do today. I realized all those things would still be there tomorrow. I said yes, and I’m so glad that I did.
FRIDAY | Ending the school week with an evening at the beach. I cherish the simple joys, the experiences, and not “the things” in my life. And I’m so happy that my girls have each other. I always wanted a sister growing up. Instead, I am blessed to be a mother of 3 sisters. And if they still get along as adults, I will consider my job done
SATURDAY | Saturday was a blur of being on the road, running weekend errands. I did appreciate all of the love I received from my family today. I think every weekend should include Mother's Day.
SUNDAY | Starting Mother’s Day early this morning with paddle boarding while the sun rises. Looking forward to a relaxed day surrounded by my husband and daughters.
All photos taken with my iPhone and edited with VSCO.
I'm looking forward to bringing these photos and words together in a 3x8 album, which I will share soon!
