collected moments around the table

I am continuing to enjoy Ali Edwards's story kits and themes.

January's theme is 'gather'.  Right away, I knew I wanted document the story of my kitchen table, which is an endless source of inspiration for me.  Here's a post I wrote last summer about my table.

I used the Paislee Press plate no. 38 photo template and I gathered 12 of my favorite images captured on my table from my Instagram feed.  On top of the photo, I layered 'gather' and 'collected moments' and a red heart from the story kit.

Following Ali's template, I layered my journaling over background paper, and sewed one of the 3x4 journaling cards on top. Please don't look that closely at my sewing - still learning my way with my sewing machine! I also cut my journaling page in half, and sewed an 8.5 x 11 in page protector to fit in my album.  I love having different sizes and textures.

And here is how it looks in my album.  I'm using a We R Memory Keepers 8.5 x 11 Classic Leather Album to hold all of my story layouts.

It always amazes me how much I love combining images and stories.  Looking forward to next month's theme!

You can see my layout for December's 'first' story theme here.
