michael + diana

A couple of weeks ago, I attended the wedding of my friend Michael and his lovely bride, Diana.  Nestled in a small garden, the ceremony was a beautiful one - small and intimate.

I always felt that there is so much pressure involved for wedding photographers, but I surprised myself at how much I enjoyed capturing these moments.  And using film, I was much more selective about the shots that I did take.

Congrats Michael & Diana!

The light was pretty tricky inside, but I liked how these turned out.

It has been a while since I've been to a reception so beautiful.  The attention to detail was amazing.

Good day to you!

Hats off to all wedding photographers - this is hard work!  But one thing is for certain - there is no shortage of beautiful things, food, and people to shoot at a wedding and reception.

I received more than a few odd stares from folks as I manually focused, clicked the shutter, and manually advanced the film.  It was worth it though!  I love the results.

I have a couple more shots from the reception that I'll share with you tomorrow.....

My heart is so full from such a wonderful weekend.  I attended my cousin's wedding in Chicago, and it was so beautiful!  I wasn't able to capture many images at the actual wedding, as I was busy attending to my oldest daughter who was a flower girl for the first time.

I made up for it at the reception, and I have a few images to share with you.  But right now I have to recover - easing slowly back into our routine.

More soon!
