October Layouts with Paislee Press
It is the last week of October, and I am reminded once again why I love documenting so much. In addition to telling stories, I truly love the colors of Fall.
I have three layouts to share with you this month using Paislee Press products.
I like to use 12 x 12 inch photos as a statement piece in my albums - letting them tell the stories on their own. I don't worry about resolution if the image speaks to me, regardless of the quality. I took this photo with my iPhone, and it brings me right back to this day, and that's why I do what I do - to capture memories that mean the most to me. I could care less about technical details.
Here is a closer look at each page of this layout.
Products used: 12x12 inch page protector, Design E Page Protector, MPM Mosaic, Bits and Pieces.
I am still working on my 6x8 inch mini-album, of our anniversary trip to Greece this summer. Hoping to have this completed by the end of year to share in more detail!
For the photo on the left, I used the Paislee Press 6x8 Minimalist Templates. On the right, I used acrylic paint and a sheet of transparency to create a monoprint on the white space of two of the XOXO journal Cards. This is one of Tina's techniques as a part of the Studio Calico Mixed Media Class.
I am finding that I love adding paint and watercolor to my journal cards. More soon.
And finally, probably my favorite from this month, is this collage of Fall images using Liz's Photocentric No. 1 templates. This layout is 8.5x11 inches, perfect to slip in the binder with my story theme layouts.
I used my Silhouette to cut the Cozy Cut Files on printable gold foil paper. I adhered the 'fall' and 'comforts' cut files directly on top of this layout. Definitely a simple, yet clean, way to document fall.
Looking forward to sharing more of my layouts in November!
